TBN Air is a dynamic and modern news application built to deliver breaking news, in-depth articles, and personalized content to users in real-time. The platform is designed for both mobile and desktop experiences, emphasizing speed, readability, and user engagement.
The Opportunity
TBN Air was built to bring clarity and credibility back to digital news. I had the chance to create a mobile-first, real-time news platform that balances speed, simplicity, and performance. This project challenged me to solve problems around live content delivery, media optimization, and editor-friendly publishing tools — all while building a scalable system that can grow with the brand.
The Challenge
Creating a modern news app meant solving for real-time updates, media-heavy content, and reader engagement — all without sacrificing speed. The admin panel had to be intuitive for non-technical users, while the frontend needed to handle dynamic content rendering, image optimization, and performance at scale. Balancing all this with a clean, user-first design was the core challenge.
The Solutions
To build a fast, scalable, and engaging news app, I implemented, FastAPI as the backend to serve lightweight, high-performance REST APIs. AWS S3 Bucket for secure and scalable image and video storage. React Native with Expo for cross-platform mobile development, ensuring smooth performance on both Android and iOS. These solutions allowed us to ship a mobile-first, content-rich app that delivers real-time news with excellent performance and clean UX.
The Result
TBN Air successfully launched as a cross-platform mobile app, delivering real-time news with a clean, fast, and intuitive user experience. Users can seamlessly browse by categories, view media-rich content, and stay updated on the go. The app's performance, reliability, and lightweight design received positive feedback, and its backend architecture is ready to scale as the platform grows.
